Initial Setup

Arrange a few things and start configuring the MX6201 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6E Router well prepared.

• Arrange an ethernet cable if it is not given in the box. Make sure the cable is in perfect condition.

Connect The Network Devices

• Access your network settings and hit the Scan button to search for new available networks.

• Connect to it and then right-click on it.
• Go to the advanced settings.

Login Via Smartphone

• Download the Linksys app.
• Ensure you are downloading the correct and updated app.
• You will see two options.
• Click on the Login if you have an account already.
• Click on the Create Account option if you are new.
• You will be asked to enter your name and password.
• The setup page will display once you create the account successfully.
• Click on the Login option.
• Enter the SSID and password that you collected from the label.
• It can take some time. Wait patiently. However, refresh the page if the duration extends.
• The login will be successful if the login credentials you have typed are correct.

Personalize Settings

• Go to settings.
• Change the SSID and password to secure the network.
• Set up two-factor authentication for advanced protection against cyber threats.
• Choose two questions from the menu and set up their answers.
• Manage the Port Forwarding, Guest Mode, etc.
• Decide the number of devices you want to connect with your router network.

Advanced Settings

• Check the Firmware if there are any pending updates.
• Download the latest version from the Linksys Download Center.
• Go to Firmware In Administration settings.
• Click on the Update option and upload the downloaded file.
• You can set the updates on automatic also.
• In this way, the Firmware will update automatically.

Note: Make sure the latest update file you are downloading is not corrupted and is free of all kinds of bugs and viruses before uploading.
