How Do I Connect My Linksys Extender To New WiFi?

Several Linksys WiFi range extenders come with dual WiFi band technology. Dual bands help to cover a lot of dead spots and give full internet speed. Methods To Install Linksys Extender

By Holding Linksys WPS Button

WPS holding is a simple way to make a connection successful.  Follow lower instructions:-

 

• In the socket plugin Linksys extender to power it on. 
• After that, the Linksys extender power LED starts blinking. 
• Now, press both router and extender WPS button, in the gap of 2 minutes. 
• Later, wait to start flashing WPS LED solid on both router & extender unit. 
• At the end, locate the extender where you want (With in range of router). 

 

If you fail to do Linksys extender connection by WPS button. Then don’t be worried, try another access point (AP) setup method. 

Configuration By AP Mode

• As before in the power outlet, plugin Linksys WiFi range extender. 
• After that, attach the ethernet cable from the router to the extender and wait. 

• Later, connect the WiFi device to the Linksys extender default SSID i.e., Linksys Extender Setup-XXX. XXX characters represent the last three words of Linksys range extender MAC address. MAC address is also written at the back of the extender unit. 
• Next, open chrome and write extender.linksys.com official web portal in the address bar. 
• Fill in default login information and start the configuration process.
• Tap next and select wired range extender mode option
• Make a unique WiFi network name and security password. 
• Finally, save all change and enjoy extender benefits with new WiFi.
