Using Web Browser For The Setup

• To set up, first activate the Linksys re6400 range extender. You can directly place the extender in a location which is halfway from the host router and the area of concern. 
• Moving forward, using your smart gadget which can be a smartphone, laptop, computer or an iPad as well, connect to the extender’s network. The details for the same are written at the back panel of the extender. Additionally, it is also mentioned in the user guide. 
• Thereafter, launch a web browser like internet explorer or chrome. Directly move to the URL bar. In it fill up the default web or IP address for Linksys re6400 setup. It is http://192.168.1.1 or http://extender.linksys.com.
• As you push the enter key, you get access to a window where you get the option to start the setup. Tap on it and go through the setup steps precisely. As you do so, the setup completes. The window allows you to customize the network settings also. 

Linksys RE6400 Setup Using Linksys App

Users who wish to setup the extender using Linksys app can follow these simple steps:

✓ First on your smart device, fetch the Linksys app. It is available on both the platforms that are Google play store as well as App store. In case you already have access to the app, then recheck if it’s the latest version or not. 

✓ Now, while the application is installing, activate the re6400 range extender. 

✓ Thereafter launch the app on your device. The app might prompt you to connect to the extender’s network. Do so by grabbing the information from the back panel of the extender.
